There was so much for me to consider relocating to Atlanta. My daughter was attending my high school alma mater, cheerleader, active in extracurricular activities, her dad lives an hour away and I have my support system and of course, we were comfortable. The 757/804 is all I had known since 1993.

I took my time to research areas, I asked a lot of questions and talked to Lianna’s dad. It was extremely important for me to keep my daughter’s livelihood priority. This was HUGE! I really had to put my big girl panties on. I flew out to Atlanta to scope the city, prospective school, and sign my lease. When I got back to the 757 it was Go Time!

June 11th came so fast, and I was so nervous. First of all, I never drove a UHaul truck in my entire life. Not to mention not even knowing how to work the darn thing. The parentals were helpful in the process and securely attached my car to the tow dolly on the back of the UHaul truck. I was a ball of nerves as Lianna & I departed on our journey. Once I got into Suffolk, I started to feel comfortable driving.

We drove through the nastiest storms on the highway and witness several car accidents, but God kept us. While we were driving through South Carolina a guy attempted to get my attention on the highway. He pointed his hand towards the ground but I couldn’t make out what he was saying. After all, we’re on the highway driving. I pulled off to the nearest exit and took a flashlight around the Uhaul truck and my car. I didn’t see anything so we continued to drive…it wasn’t until we arrived in Atlanta when I noticed that a chain had popped on the UHaul truck, a chain that was connected to my car. At this very moment, I realized that it was meant for us to be in Atlanta. I’m so thankful for God’s covering and his strength.

To be continued…
